Acidic Decontaminating Wash
Unleash maximum cleaning power against the most tenacious dirt, unsightly hard water spots, and all manner of stubborn nastiness with Emporio Automotive, DECLOG SHAMPOO Acidic Soap.
This potent and highly effective formula is specifically designed to relentlessly break down the built-up contamination that not only reduces the natural gloss but also clogs the intricate surface of both neglected paintwork and high-performance coatings. Like many other advanced Emporio Automotive products, DECLOG SHAMPOO boasts incredible versatility, making it an indispensable tool for comprehensive vehicle care.
It can be strategically used to safely strip away old, diminishing waxes and sealants, providing a perfectly clean canvas. Furthermore, it excels at preparing paint for subsequent polishing stages by deeply cleansing the surface, effectively degreasing it after compounding, and, of course, powerfully removing stubborn traffic film and mineral deposits that accumulate during regular use.
This makes it an essential component of regular maintenance washes, performing brilliantly and safely on both coated and non-coated vehicles to restore unparalleled clarity and brilliance.

Directions for use:
Dilution:
-
Bucket Wash: Dilute 1 part shampoo to 100 parts water.
-
Foam Sprayer/Spray Bottle: Dilute 1 part shampoo to 10 parts water.
Application:
IMPORTANT: Always work on a cool vehicle surface in a shaded area to prevent premature drying. DO NOT let the shampoo dry on the paintwork, as this can lead to stubborn streaking or water spotting. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Always test on an inconspicuous area first if unsure about compatibility, especially on delicate or sensitive finishes.
-
Pre-Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the entire vehicle with a strong stream of clean water to remove any loose dirt, dust, and heavy debris.
- Dilution:
-
-
For Routine Maintenance Washes / Light Decontamination: Dilute 1:100 of DECLOG SHAMPOO per 10 litres of water in your wash bucket.
-
For Heavy Decontamination / Stripping Waxes/Sealants: For a more aggressive clean, use a higher concentration in your wash bucket, or utilize a foam cannon. If using a foam lance, add 1:10 of DECLOG SHAMPOO per litre of water in the lance reservoir and adjust the foam setting to achieve the desired consistency.
-
Application (Bucket Wash): Employ the two-bucket wash method. Dip a clean, soft wash mitt into your diluted shampoo solution. Begin washing from the top of the vehicle downwards, cleaning one section or panel at a time (e.g., roof, then bonnet, then upper doors). Wash in straight lines, not circles, to minimize the risk of introducing wash marring.
-
Application (Foam lance): Apply a generous, even layer of foam from the top of the vehicle downwards, ensuring complete coverage of all exterior surfaces.
-
Dwell Time: Allow the solution or foam to dwell on the surface for 2-5 minutes. This dwell time allows the acidic properties to break down contaminants. Crucially, do not allow the product to dry on the vehicle.
-
Agitation (Optional): For particularly stubborn areas or heavy contamination, gently agitate the solution on the surface with a soft wash mitt or dedicated detailing brush. Avoid excessive pressure.
-
Rinse Thoroughly: IMMEDIATELY and thoroughly rinse the entire vehicle with a strong, consistent stream of clean water (a pressure washer is highly recommended). Ensure all product residue and loosened contamination are completely flushed away from the surface and out of all crevices.
-
Dry: Immediately dry the vehicle using a clean, soft, high-quality microfiber drying towel to prevent any water spots and reveal the de-clogged, revitalized finish.
