The Benefits of Ceramic Coatings

Ceramic coatings are designed to be a semi-permanent wax replacement technology to provide UV and environmental protection to automotive surfaces. These coatings when installed cross link and covalently bond to paint surfaces, sealing them on a molecular level and creating a hydrophobic barrier between the vehicle and the environment.

These coatings are primarily made from variations of Silicon, Silicon Dioxide or other forms of Silicates. (Sio2) This ingredient provides a superior form of protection to that of normal carnauba waxes or polymer based sealants in its ability to resist weathering or degradation

Why Your Car Needs Paint Protection...

Every time you take your car on the road, it becomes exposed to natural elements such as UV rays, rain, bird droppings, as well as pollutants like smoke, dirt, and tar. These elements can cause physical and chemical damage to your car’s surface, leading to oxidation, dents, abrasions, and scratches that can diminish its natural shine. The car’s paint alone is not sufficient to combat these aggressors effectively. This is where paint protection products like ceramic/graphene coatings and PPF come into play.

These products create a protective layer, acting as a second skin, to shield your car’s paint from the natural and industrial threats it encounters. Each of these options offers unique scientific techniques for safeguarding the paint.

  1. Ceramic Coating - A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that, when applied to your car’s exterior, bonds with the factory paint, forming a semi-permanent layer of protection. Ceramic coatings are formulated using Silicon Dioxide (SiO2), the same raw material found in glass and ceramics.
  2. Graphene Coating - Graphene coatings take traditional ceramic coatings to the next level by incorporating graphene oxide, a lightweight and robust material. This combination results in a coating that repels dust and water, making it a breakthrough in vehicle coating technology.
  3. Paint Protection Films - Paint protection film, also known as PPF, is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) film that acts as a shield for your car’s paint, defending it against environmental debris, scratches, stone chips, and other abrasives. Transparent, flexible, and self-healing, PPF is an advanced choice for protecting your car’s paint while preserving its showroom shine.
